This permanent visa lets skilled employees, who are nominated by their employer, live and work in Australia permanently. There are three streams for the subclass 186 visa:

1. 1. 1. 1. Direct Entry Stream
            • Suitable for applicants who have 3 years of post-qualification work experience in an eligible occupation and who have an offer from an employer in that field. 

             

         2. Temporary Residence Transition Stream
            • Suitable for applicants who hold a Subclass 457, 482 or eligible bridging visa, and have worked in an eligible sponsored employment for at least 2 years full time while holding an eligible visa.

       

      1. 1. Labour Agreement Stream
            • Suitable for applicants who work for a nominating employer who is party to a labour agreement. The applicant will need to hold a Subclass 457 or 482 visa that is issued under a labour agreement.
