The child visas are permanent and allow dependent children of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to move to Australia or remain in Australia to live with their parents.

The child can be their parent’s biological child, adopted child, or stepchild (only from a former parent).

The onshore visa option is Subclass 802 while the offshore option is Subclass 100.
